I’m sorry guys but I really just need to rant this shit out atm. I’m a cheerleader. I’m not a girl who jumps around in a skirt yelling “go team” for fun. For those of you who don’t know, it is a sport. I hate people who don’t give the girls and boys who are cheerleaders respect. We are athletes. What because we don’t throw around a ball that weighs what like a pound we’re not considered one? Okay, lets do this then. You come to my practice. Take my spot as main base for the day and stunt my 120lb flyer. Throw her a couple feet in the air and catch her carefully. How about you guys learn a 2 minute and 30 second performance and practice it for months just trying to get that one routine perfected and take it to compete against 10 other teams. Why don’t you put on a uniform and cheer in front of your school while you’re being insulted and made fun of while you’re working your ass off trying to get your school to have some spirit. We don’t have to cheer for you. We could easily just stick to putting all our time into competition. Our squad is actually forced to cheer for all the other teams and we ask you to just come out and support us at competitions. It’s not even mandatory. I’m not saying our teams top shit or anything like that, but seriously you make as if you could do half the things we do. Oh cool you can bench 250. Let me see you lift my flyer without dropping her. It’s completely different if you didn’t know. Just fucking respect what we do and shut the fuck up.
